masjid al aqsa posters, framed prints & Canvas Wall Art

A gold dome above old stone, olive trees below it, a skyline you can recognise in one glance. For millions of people, Masjid Al-Aqsa is more than a landmark. These Masjid Al Aqsa posters are made to give it a calm, respectful place on a wall.

Search for Masjid Al Aqsa posters and the results are scattered. Slogan designs, t-shirt artwork, stock history prints, generic "realist mosque" canvases, even digital downloads. Very little is organised by style, and almost nothing explains what you are actually looking at.

This collection does both. Eight artistic treatments of Al-Aqsa, the Dome of the Rock and Jerusalem: calligraphy watercolour, olive-grove landscapes, "Flower of Cities" art, vintage sketch and photograph, black-and-white, minimalist watercolour, landscape photography and a symbol silhouette.

Pick the style, then pick the format — unframed Al Aqsa poster, framed in black, white or natural wood, or gallery-wrapped canvas wall art.

Quick answer: what do Masjid Al Aqsa posters show?

Most Masjid Al Aqsa posters show the Dome of the Rock, the gold-domed shrine at the centre of the Al-Aqsa compound in Jerusalem, because it is the most recognisable landmark there. The Al-Aqsa Mosque itself, often called the Qibli Mosque, is the grey-domed prayer hall at the compound's southern end. The designs below are printed to order on archival paper or canvas.

      Key takeaways

      • Eight styles, thirteen mockups. Calligraphy, olive grove, Flower of Cities, vintage ink and photo, black-and-white, watercolour, landscape photography and a symbol silhouette.
      • Three formats. Every Al Aqsa print is available unframed, framed in black, white or natural wood, or as gallery-wrapped canvas.
      • Know the landmarks. The gold dome is the Dome of the Rock; the grey-domed Qibli Mosque is the Al-Aqsa prayer hall. Our tables show the difference.
      • Materials. 200 gsm acid-free archival fine art paper, UltraChrome pigment inks, 380 gsm textured canvas on a timber stretcher.
      • Sizing rule. Art should span roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below it — usually A2 as a pair, or A1 as a single, above a sofa.

Al-Aqsa, the Qibli Mosque and the Dome of the Rock: what is what?

The names get mixed up constantly, even in product listings. A short table fixes that, and helps you choose the right Dome of the Rock Jerusalem poster or Qibli Mosque poster.

Calligraphy and the Dome of the Rock, in watercolour

Arabic calligraphy and Jerusalem belong together. This watercolour sets flowing script beside the golden dome, so the print can be read as well as looked at.

It is the most devotional design in the collection, and a natural fit for a prayer corner or a quiet living-room wall.

Masjid Al Aqsa poster shown from the side in a black frame, a Palestine calligraphy Dome of the Rock poster of Jerusalem Al Quds in watercolor print style. Flowing Arabic script sits beside the golden dome, an Al Aqsa poster that suits a prayer corner, study or quiet living room wall.
Calligraphy and Dome of the Rock, watercolour, black frame. Script and shrine in one soft composition.

Olive grove and olive tree: Dome of the Rock Jerusalem posters

The olive tree is as much a symbol of the land as the dome. These two prints put them together: one an art-print landscape, one a photograph, both with olive branches framing Jerusalem's skyline.

Masjid Al Aqsa poster styled beside a vase on satin paper, a Dome of the Rock Jerusalem poster in an olive grove landscape art print. Olive trees frame the golden dome, a Dome of the Rock Jerusalem poster that brings a calm, rooted landscape to living rooms and hallways.

Horizontal Masjid Al Aqsa poster in a walnut frame above a grey sofa, a Dome of the Rock Jerusalem photography print with an olive tree wall poster design. The wide photograph pairs olive branches with the gold dome, an Al Aqsa wall art piece made for a long wall above seating.
Olive tree photograph, horizontal walnut frame. Shown above a grey sofa, where a wide format belongs.

Frame pairing: walnut or natural wood. Warm timber echoes the olive branches and keeps the gold dome from feeling cold.

Zahrat Al Madain: the Flower of Cities

"Zahrat Al Madain", the Flower of Cities, is a traditional name for Jerusalem, and the title of a well-loved Arabic song. This print takes the phrase literally and poetically, with colour and flower motifs around the city's best-known silhouette.

It is the most decorative design here, and the one most likely to be a gift.

Same design, styled beside a lampshade and vase. Colour that sits well with everyday decor.

Vintage Al Aqsa posters: ink sketch and old photograph

Many buyers want something that looks like it has hung in a family home for generations. Two designs deliver that: a vintage ink sketch with fine pen-work, and a vintage-style photograph with soft, aged tones.

Horizontal Masjid Al Aqsa poster in a black frame on a wooden desk, an Al Quds Dome of the Rock vintage Palestine ink sketch print. Fine pen lines build the dome and skyline in a heritage style, an Al Aqsa poster that suits studies and offices.

Masjid Al Aqsa poster styled beside a vase on satin paper, an Al Quds Dome of the Rock Jerusalem Palestine vintage photo art print. Soft aged tones give the golden dome a heritage-photograph feel, an Al Aqsa wall art print for dining rooms and studies.
Vintage photo art print, satin paper. Aged tones and a quiet, archival mood.

Black and white Dome of the Rock

Remove the colour and the shape is what remains: the dome, the octagon, the horizon. It is the most solemn design in the collection, and the easiest to hang beside other art.

Masjid Al Aqsa poster in a black frame on a study table, an Al Quds Dome of the Rock Jerusalem Palestine black and white print. Monochrome tones give the dome a solemn, timeless look, an Al Aqsa poster that works as understated art in a study or home office.
Black and white Dome of the Rock, study table. Solemn, timeless, and low-noise.

Al Aqsa watercolour and minimalist watercolour

Watercolour suits this subject: domes are round, tiles are blue and gold, and washes soften all three. Two takes here. One is a fuller watercolour with more of the scene; the other is minimalist, with a few strokes and a lot of white space.

Masjid Al Aqsa poster shown from the side in a black frame, an Al Aqsa Dome of the Rock Jerusalem Palestine watercolor art print. Soft washes of gold and blue build the dome and surrounding scene, an Al Aqsa poster with a gentle, painterly feel for living rooms and bedrooms.
Al Aqsa watercolour, black frame. A fuller scene in soft gold and blue.

      Al Aqsa Mosque landscape photography

When you want scale, choose the landscape photograph. A wide view of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa compound, in a long format that suits a console, a sideboard, or a majlis wall.

Jerusalem landscape photograph, black frame. A wide format for a long wall or a leaned display.

Palestine map and Al-Aqsa symbol silhouette

The most graphic design here pairs a minimalist Palestine map silhouette with the Al-Aqsa symbol. It is a clean, modern print for people who prefer a symbol to a scene.

Palestine map Masjid Al Aqsa poster beside a chair, a Jerusalem minimalist symbol silhouette art print. A clean map outline pairs with the Al-Aqsa symbol, a modern Al Aqsa poster for offices, hallways and anyone who prefers a graphic symbol to a landscape.

Al Aqsa poster, framed print or canvas: choosing a format

The design carries the mood. The surface decides how it reads on the wall.

Format comparison for Masjid Al Aqsa posters, framed prints and canvas wall art
Format Surface Best for Hanging Watch out for
Unframed Al Aqsa poster 200 gsm archival matte or satin fine art paper Renters, gallery walls in progress, gifting flat, large sizes on a budget Poster hanger, clips, or your own frame Needs framing or a hanger to look finished
Framed Al Aqsa print Same paper, glazed, in black, white or natural wood Calligraphy, sketch, black-and-white and minimalist designs, studies, hallways Arrives with hardware fitted Glazing reflects — avoid hanging facing a window directly
Al Aqsa canvas print 380 gsm textured poly-cotton on a timber stretcher Watercolour, olive grove and landscape photography at larger sizes Hangs straight from the frame, no glass Texture slightly softens very fine pen-work

      When canvas wins

Choose canvas for the watercolours, the olive grove and the landscape photograph. Soft gradients and wide skies both flatter canvas texture, and there is no glass to reflect a lamp.

      When framed paper wins

Choose framed paper for the ink sketch, the black-and-white print, the calligraphy and the symbol silhouette. Fine lines and crisp contrast need a smooth surface and a hard edge.

Sizing your Masjid Al Aqsa poster

Size is where wall art usually goes wrong. Too small and the piece floats in the middle of nothing. Too large and the room tips forward.

Size reference for Al Aqsa wall art by wall position and furniture width
Size Dimensions Works above Recommended use
      A4 21 × 29.7 cm / 8.3 × 11.7 in Desks, shelves, narrow alcoves Grids of two or three designs; prayer-corner prints
A3 29.7 × 42 cm / 11.7 × 16.5 in Bedside tables, consoles, cloakrooms Pairs and triptychs; single prints in small rooms
A2 42 × 59.4 cm / 16.5 × 23.4 in Two-seat sofas, sideboards, double beds The default for one framed Al Aqsa print in a living room
A1 59.4 × 84.1 cm / 23.4 × 33.1 in Three-seat sofas, dining walls, stair landings Single statement piece; watercolour or landscape on canvas

Styling and decor: where Al Aqsa wall art belongs

A print is half the decision. The wall is the other half.

      Living room focal point

One large piece beats three small ones above a sofa. Hang a single A1 canvas of the watercolour or the olive grove landscape, centred, with 15 to 20 cm between the sofa back and the bottom of the frame. If the room already carries pattern, the minimalist watercolour lets the furniture lead.

      Prayer corners and quiet spaces

Many buyers keep Al-Aqsa prints in a prayer corner or a reading nook. The calligraphy watercolour and the black-and-white print suit these spaces best, at A3 or A2, at a comfortable seated eye level.

      Respectful placement

Many households prefer to hang religious art in living areas, prayer rooms and studies, at a respectful height, and away from bathrooms or shoe areas. Choose the room that feels right for your home.

      Gallery walls that hold together

      • One landmark, many styles. Watercolour, ink sketch and black-and-white, all the dome, in matching frames.
      • Land and symbol. The olive grove beside the symbol silhouette.
      • Old and new. The vintage photograph beside the minimalist watercolour.

Keep gaps tight and even, 4 to 6 cm. Wide, uneven spacing is what makes a gallery wall look accidental rather than planned.

      Home office and study spaces

The black-and-white print and the vintage ink sketch both suit a desk wall. Neither is busy enough to pull focus during a call, and both reward a glance between tasks.

      Hallways and entryways

Narrow spaces suit a sequence. The symbol silhouette, the Flower of Cities print and the olive tree photograph at A3, evenly spaced on one centre line, welcome guests with a short story.

      Craftsmanship, paper and framing finishes

Everything here is printed to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse quietly losing colour.

      Archival paper

Our standard stock is 200 gsm acid-free fine art paper with a smooth matte surface. It holds fine pen-work and soft watercolour gradients without ink spread, and being acid-free it will not yellow the way cheap poster stock does. Satin is offered on the photographic and vintage designs for extra depth and less glare.

      Pigment inks

We print with UltraChrome pigment inks rather than dye. Pigment sits on the surface as encapsulated particles instead of soaking into the fibre and breaking down, which is what gives archival prints their fade resistance under normal indoor light — important for the gold of the dome and the blue of its tiles.

      Canvas construction

Canvas prints are 380 gsm textured poly-cotton, stretched over a solid timber subframe and hand-wrapped at the corners. The image continues around the edge, so no frame is required, and hanging hardware comes fitted. A canvas at A1 also weighs less than the equivalent glazed frame.

      Framing finishes

      • Slim black. The default for sketch, black-and-white, calligraphy and symbol designs.
      • White. Best for the minimalist watercolour in a bright room.
      • Natural wood or walnut. Warms the olive designs and bridges to oak, walnut and cane furniture.

Mounts are available from 40 mm. Every framed piece ships glazed and ready to hang.

Care: keep framed prints out of direct sun and away from bathroom steam. Dust canvas with a dry soft brush — never a damp cloth. That is the whole routine.

Masjid Al Aqsa posters as a gift

For many Muslim families, a print of Al-Aqsa is among the most meaningful gifts for a new home, a wedding, Ramadan or Eid.

The calligraphy watercolour suits a prayer corner. The Flower of Cities print is warm and decorative for a new couple. The black-and-white and vintage designs suit someone who prefers restraint. Framed pieces arrive ready to hang; unframed prints post flat and let the recipient choose a moulding.

      Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock?

The Al-Aqsa Mosque, also called the Qibli Mosque, is the main prayer hall at the southern end of the compound, with a grey-silver dome. The Dome of the Rock is a separate octagonal shrine with a gold dome. Many posters labelled "Al Aqsa" show the Dome of the Rock because it is the most recognisable landmark.

Do you have Qibli Mosque posters?

The Qibli Mosque is the grey-domed prayer hall within the Al-Aqsa compound. This collection focuses on the compound's best-known views, most often the Dome of the Rock. A Qibli Mosque–only print is not part of this particular collection.

What designs are in this Masjid Al Aqsa posters collection?

Eight styles: a calligraphy watercolour, an olive grove landscape and olive tree photograph, a Zahrat Al Madain Flower of Cities print, a vintage ink sketch and vintage photograph, a black-and-white print, a watercolour and minimalist watercolour, a landscape photograph, and a Palestine map and Al-Aqsa symbol silhouette.

Are these Al Aqsa posters available framed?

Yes. Every design can be ordered framed in slim black, white or natural wood. Framed prints are glazed, fitted with hanging hardware, and arrive ready to hang. Mounts of 40 mm and above are available.

Can I get Al Aqsa wall art on canvas?

Yes. Canvas prints are gallery-wrapped on 380 gsm textured poly-cotton over a timber stretcher, with the image continuing around the edges so no frame is needed. Canvas suits the watercolours, olive grove and landscape photograph especially well.

What does Zahrat Al Madain mean?

Zahrat Al Madain means "Flower of Cities", a traditional epithet for Jerusalem and the title of a well-known Arabic song. The print in this collection uses the phrase as its theme.

Which Al Aqsa print works best above a sofa?

A single A1 piece, ideally a watercolour or the olive grove landscape on canvas. Aim for artwork spanning roughly two-thirds the width of the sofa, and leave 15 to 20 cm between the top of the sofa back and the bottom of the frame.

Where is it appropriate to hang an Al Aqsa poster?

Many households choose a living room, prayer room or study, at a respectful height and away from bathrooms or shoe areas. It is a personal choice, and the collection includes designs for each of these spaces.

What paper and inks do you print on?

Standard stock is 200 gsm acid-free archival fine art paper with a matte finish, with satin available on the photographic and vintage designs. We print with UltraChrome pigment inks, which resist fading under normal indoor lighting.

Which design suits a small room?

The minimalist watercolour or the symbol silhouette at A3. Both carry very little visual weight, so they add interest without shrinking the space, unlike a large landscape canvas which can dominate a small wall.

Is an Al Aqsa poster a good gift?

Very much so, especially for a new home, a wedding, Ramadan or Eid. The calligraphy watercolour suits a prayer corner, the Flower of Cities print is warm and decorative, and the black-and-white and vintage designs suit quieter tastes. Framed prints arrive ready to hang.

Do unframed Al Aqsa prints arrive ready to display?

Unframed prints ship flat in a rigid sleeve at smaller sizes and rolled in a protective tube at larger ones. The 200 gsm stock is heavy enough to sit flat in a standard frame or a poster hanger without curling.
